A long walk to water- part 2

1. They don't want him because They think he will slow the group down and complain. I feel sorry for salva and annoyed that they just won't to leave him.

2.Water dictates her life because if she doesn't get water she can get dehydrated and she could possible die. Also Nya has to walk most of the morning to get water everyday and her family is relying on her to get water for them as well. Something that dictates my life is my education.

3.Trying to get honey from a bee hive, walking a few days with out food and having to go with out any family for almost a month thinking they were dead.Yes I think he is doing a good job learning to survive in these circumstances because he is surviving and not complaining.

4.At the lake camp the water is close to them so Nya doesn't have to walk along way to get water but at her real home she has to walk along way every way Also at the lake camp the safety is not really good because there is a lot of fighting going on there but at home there is like none.

A long walk to water-part 1

1.We learnt that Salva's life and culture from the first chapter was that he had 3 brothers and 2 sisters  and he went to school everyday. Salva's tribe has a v shape on there head called the dinka tribe. Salva's life is nothing like mine

2.If I was in Salva's circumstances I would be really scared and worried. some questions that might occupy salva's thoughts are where are we going, where is my family and when will I see them again.

3.Nya's journey is very hard it takes half the morning to get water. She has no shoes and can't get educated because she has to get water for her family. it is also very hot and if she spilt some she would have to go back and get more water. She also has to carry it on her head with all the water which would make her head sore.

4. Different tribes tell each other apart because of there marks on them for different tribes. They also have there own languages they speak.

The little shed

I was walking through the bush on a cold and foggy day, when I see a light in the distance that I have never seen before. I always walk past this place looking at the old shed but this time there is light coming from the shed. So I sneak up closer and closer making sure no one is watching me and because it was a foggy day I couldn’t see that much. As I got closer to the shed I noticed a boat out on the lake and I couldn’t see match action on it. I grabbed my binoculars out of my backpack so I could have a closer look at the boat to make sure no one is on it.  Luckily no one is. So I sneaked up on to the shed deck and went to knock on the door. So I knocked and then quickly ran to hide behind the barrels sitting next to the door. As the door opened my body got nervous and all of a sudden a shadow came around the corner. This old guy came out through the door and walked on to the deck, he yelled out “hey who is there” and obviously I didn’t come out from my hiding spot. Several moments later the guy goes back into his little house and so I come out of my hiding spot. I stand on the deck wondering what to do. But then I realised that the old man might not have a friend or he could be lonely so I decided to knock on the door again but this time do not hide instead I will just stand there and say hi. So I slowly walk back up to the door and knock. All of a sudden the door opens and the old guy comes out and looks at me in shock. All I say is “hi”. We stand there for a while looking at each other until he says “do you want to come in and we can talk”. So I did. As I sat on the couch in his little house he walks over and says “what’s your name and why are you here”. I say “my name is Tom and I always walk past here when no light is on but then when I walked past today I saw a light so I wanted to know who was inside, also when I knocked the first time I went to hide just to see who lived here and the second time I knocked I had enough bravery to stay there and not hide. All he said was OK. An hour later I walked out of his little house with a big smile on my face because now I officially was his first friend and also I get to help him with his big project that I inspired him to do. As I walk home all I think about is how he was so lonely for so many years. Then next day I headed back to his house and started the new project. The project was that I get to help him fix his house because one of the reasons why he is lonely is because people have been to scared to walk past his house because it doesn’t look very friendly. So today and tomorrow, him and I are going to be painting, cleaning, gardening his whole property and making it look friendly again. Because I am sure it once was a friendly house.
