- My new horse is as fast as my dad's motorbike.
- The Fireman's pole at the playground is as tall as The giraffe.
- The ladybug is as small as a piece of sand which is really small.
- My face is beautiful like Macy my friends face.
I am a student at Ōtaki College in Ōtaki, NZ. My blog is a place where I will be able to share some of my learning. Please note....some work won't be edited - they are just my first drafts, so there may be some errors. I would love your feedback, comments, thoughts and ideas on my posts.

Kia Ora Olivia, this is Shannon from the Summer Learning Journey.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your brilliant similes! The point of a simile is to create a visual of something with reference to an extreme of something else and you have done an exquisite job.
Wow you got a new horse! What’s its name? It sounds like your horse can run super fast, who do you think would win in a race: you and your horse or your dad and his motorbike?
When I was little, ladybugs were my favourite insect. I liked how they were as red as a ruby and flew as fast as a bird. Now my favourite insect is a caterpillar. I like how they form a cocoon and turn into a beautiful butterfly almost by magic.
Quick tip: perhaps you could include some visuals of the similes you have created to really enhance your post. These could add interest and appeal to your readers.
Happy blogging.
