The other day my class and I planted Kowhai seeds I had a lot of fun learning about how to plant a seed. These are the steps we took to plant them.

This is me doing the planting |
- The first thing that we did was get all of the equipment which was: A cup, Water, mixing stick, seed, soil pod, seed pot, sand paper.
|
This is some of the equipment that we needed. |
- Secondly we Sanded the seed because we had to roughen up the seed to let water in.
- Thirdly we put 50ml of water in the cup and then put the soil pod in the water. We had to use the mixing stick and try and break up the soil pod so that the soil pod would turn into soil.
- After a long time of mixing we finally had soil in the cup.

This is when we were mixing the soil pod |
- Then we had to put some of the soil in the seed pot.
- Next we had to make a little hole, put the seed in then cover it up with the rest of the soil in the cup.
- After that we put the cup of the seed pot.
- Now it is time to wait and see if the kowhai plant grows.
- Once they grow 8cm tall we have to plant them outside somewhere in the school.
